“Gurkha” — what comes to mind? A brave soldier fighting at the frontlines in a battle during wars, or the iconic weapon known as the “Kukri”?

The Gurkhas are renowned soldiers originally from Nepal, known for their bravery, loyalty, and exceptional fighting skills. They’ve served in various armies around the world, most famously in the British Army, Indian Army, and Singapore Police Force.

The name “10” Panawal Blocker Handle Gurkha Khukuri | Gurkha Knife” originates from the iconic Kukri, the traditional blade carried by the brave Gurkha soldiers. Whether you are a collector, an outdoor enthusiast, or someone who appreciates history, once you use this little beast you’ll instantly know that it is one of the best kukri knives you have ever held.

The 10” Panawal Blocker Handle Gurkha Khukuri | Gurkha Knife has a 10 inch blade which is made from high carbon steel with a polish finish. This medium size blade makes it a perfect size for multipurpose use. The blade has an upper spine thickness of 10 mm with a belly width of 5.5 cm. Our skilled craftsmen in Nepal, belonging to the “Bishwakarma” cast handcraft this Gurkha Khukuri, inheriting the age-old art of Khukuri making from their ancestors.

The handle of this 10” Panawal Blocker Handle Gurkha Khukuri | Gurkha Knife is 5.5 inches long and made from strong rosewood ( Sati Saal ) and water buffalo bone. It has two wood pieces that are firmly stuck to the steel handle using two metal rivets. The handle has a special guard shape, which makes it easy to hold and control. You can hold it near the front for better control of the blade, or near the back for more power and longer reach. There’s also a hole at the end of the handle where you can tie a lanyard, so the kukri won’t fall out of your hand while using it.

To keep the kukri safe, it comes with a scabbard made from wood and covered in water buffalo leather. This cover protects the kukri and also makes it look cool. With a scabbard that has two pockets on the back of it. There are two small utility tools in these pockets. One is called a “Chakmak,” and the other is called a “Karda”. This khukuri alone weighs 710 grams and 860 grams with the scabbard & the utility tools giving it an amazing balanced weight to carry or generate power during cutting or chopping.
